No, the ESA letter applies to housing and does not allow you to enter stores, restaurants, or the workplace with your support pet. Your ESA letter allows you to live anywhere with your pet even if the landlord/housing provider has a “no pets policy.” With an ESA letter, the landlord/housing provider also can not charge a pet deposit or additional monthly fees for having a pet.

Yes, in fact your landlord/housing provider cannot restrict dogs based on breed or size. However, the owner is still responsible for the animal’s behavior, and/or any damages caused by the animal.
